Ball Busters

Championship Game Summary
Ballbusters 9, Angels 0

Defending champions, Ball Busters dominated league play and emerged undefeated. They squeaked by TBE/KKU 5-4 in the semi-finals. The Angels trounced Delta Zeta 12-2 in the other semi-final.

The Ball Busters jumped out of the gate by banging out six hits and three runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Angels were able to cut into the lead by scoring Andrea Clinton. Then the floodgates opened as six runners crossed the plate on seven hits and a walk to put the game out of reach. The Angels settled down slightly as they allowed just three runs in the remaining three innings, but an equally impressive defensive effort by the Ball Busters closed the door the rest of the way. The Ball Busters banged out 20 hits in the triumph, led by clean-up hitter Laura Stock and pitching ace, Michele Casey.
