Championship Game Summary
Ball Busters 9, The Devils 4

Ball Busters went undefeated during the regular season and advanced to the final game with a first round playoff bye. Their opponent in the championship, Devils, who fared less well during the regular season, with one win three losses and a tie, advanced to the final with a win-by-forfeit over Softgirls.

In the final, Ball Busters got out to an early lead with a two run double by Michelle Casey. The Devils struggled at the plate due to a great pitching performance from Michelle Casey, who ended the game with seven strikeouts. Ball Busters continued to put on the pressure with more hits and great plays in the field.

Devils had many opportunities to score with runners on base but could not hit Casey when it counted. Devils finally scored 3 runs in the 4th inning but It was not enough to reach the Ball Busters. Ball Busters sealed the game by scoring 4 runs in the top of the fifth with key hits from Larna Cohen and Michelle Casey. Devils scored one run in the bottom of the fifth and the final score stood 9-4.
