Championmship Game Summary
ASAP 1, Team Blue 0

ASAP, last year’s champion, came out the gates quickly and scored a goal straight from the kickoff as Team Blue was caught off guard to leave Leslie Salomone wide open in front of goal. Team Blue keeper Jenna Olem had no chance on the play. Both teams exchanged possession in midfield for the bulk of the half until Kayla Danehy sprung from midfield to take a low shot that Olem saved. Unfortunately for Olem & Team Blue, the rebound dropped to the feet of Stacy Hart who knocked the ball into the open net for the ASAP 2-0 lead. After their second goal, ASAP dominated possession with an organized midfield and strong forwards Danehy and Adrienne Mazza. In the 2nd half, a defensive letdown allowed Danehy to score the team’s third goal of the game. With frequent possession changes at midfield, Team Blue was forced to spray low percentage long shots on goal. Later in the half, Danehy picked up a loose ball on the right wing and sent a perfect pass to Salomone who scored her second goal of the game. ASAP finished the game in shutout fashion with the 4-0 win. Danehy topped out ASAP with 1 goal and 3 assists. As a team, ASAP had 11 legitimate shots on goal to Team Blue’s 0.
