This year's final featured two teams who could "run the floor." Sons of Bird came into the game behind strong inside play and solid free throw shooting. Get Down or Lay Down advanced to the final behind their quickness and the ability to hit the jumper. A fast-paced start showed that both teams could score at will, as 16 points were scored in just two minutes of play. Leading 9-7, Sons of Bird's Ted Heaton and Royce Henry, who combined for 18 points in the 1st half, led their team to the 27-20 halftime score.

Sons of Bird came out on fire in the 2nd half and scored on their first five trips down the floor, including two 3-pointers from Heaton to open on a 12-2 run. With a 39-22 lead, Sons of Bird slowed the pace. Chris Racine's 5 points and Heaton's 12 points in the 2nd half allowed Sons of Bird to maintain the lead. Behind solid rebounding and free throws down the stretch, Sons of Bird closed out the 57-35 win.
