 Championship Game Summary
College Street 25, Minority Report 13

The men’s championship game was the talk of intramurals as the fall semester came to a close. Minority Report, mostly comprised of members of the UMass track team, met the powerhouse College Street. After Minority Report's first possession "three and out," College Street's captain QB Ian Rider connected with Jarrod Canute for the first strike of the game. The extra point attempt failed and College Street lead 6-0. On the next play from scrimmage, Canute saw an ill-advised throw from Minority Report, intercepted the pass and raced down the sideline for a thirty-eight yard touchdown return, giving College Street the 12-0 lead after another failed extra point attempt. Minority Report failed to gain a first down and were forced to punt. Now with ball possession, College Street's Rider tossed a fifty-yard TD to Kyle Hanaan to advance a sizeable 18-0 lead. Minority Report eventually got into the endzone to bring the score at the half to 18-7. Minority Report looked to build on this momentum for the 2nd half, and a defensive pass interference call on College Street helped to give Minority Report a 1st and goal opportunity. After three dropped touchdown passes, Minority Report's 4th attempt failed and College Street took over on downs. Minority Report almost forced a "three and out," but defensive pass interference on 3rd and long gave College Street a first down. College Street scored on the very next play.  After making their first extra point try, they now led 25-7 with under eight minutes to play. Minority Report needed a quick score and got it on a long TD pass from Mike Carr to James Godinho to make the score 25-13 after the failed extra point attempt. With time ticking away, Minority Report got the ball back but turned it over on downs at the two-minute warning. College Street just needed to run out the clock out and did so by kneeling the ball on their last two plays. College Street triumphed 25-13.
