Championship Game Summary
Mud Slides 5, Raid 4

Mud Slides, a team composed of 'free agents,' were 1-4 during league play. Their only win was a win-by-forfeit. Their opponent in the final, Raid, went undefeated during league play. When Mud Slides and Raid met during league play, Raid nipped the Slides 5-3. In the championship, Raid got on the board first at the 11 minute mark as Katie McCarthy put one past Mud Slides goalie Hannah Ohlin. Raid's Lindsey Zwart put Raid up 2-0 with 3 minutes left in the half.

Then with just over a minute left in the half, Ken Davis of Mud Slides picked up a ball near the top of the circle, moved in on goalie Alyssa King and took a shot that King saved but didn't put or clear away. Davis didn't hesitate to pounce on the ball and ram this second shot past King's glove side. Raid led 2-1 at the half. In the second half, Raid's Kelly Craven scored at the 15:10 mark to push Raid's lead to 3-1. Two minutes later, Hannah Ohlin, fresh out of goal and on the attack, rammed the ball past goalie King to bring the Slides to within a goal. Raid's Craven again poked another ball past 2nd half goalie Ashley Russell after Russell stopped her cold on a point-blank shot.

In a defensive letdown from Raid, Mud Slides' Meghan Davis capitalized on a loose ball in front of the net and scored with ten minutes left. Mud Slides' Lauren Cook notched the game tying goal with six minutes left. Regulation ended with a 4-4 tie. In the sudden-victory overtime, Mud Slides wasted little time in notching a goal at 5:25 of overtime. Meghan Davis pounced on the ball and pushed it to the board past goalie Russell to give the Mud Slides the championship over Raid 5-4 in overtime.
