Championship Game Summary
Now Who's Next This Time? 2, Hooters and Shooters 1

The final pitted a high-powered offense -- Now Who's Next This Time -- against a stifling defense -- Hooters & Shooters. Hooters goal keeper Chris Lundgren was tested early and often. For the first ten minutes of the game, Now Who's Next had the bulk of the scoring chances with no success. Their best chance came at the eighteen-minute mark when Alex Bruno headed a corner kick over the crossbar. After lulling Now Who's Next to sleep with tough - defense, Hooters' Julie O'Donnell broke in on Now Who's Next's goal keeper Alex Goldstein and blasted a header into the net. Credit teammate Andrew Patriquin with a perfect pass on the goal.

Now Who's Next's Greg Bruno tied up the game minutes later with an unassisted goal past Lundgren, the first goal given up by Hooters & Shooters in the playoffs. The half ended in a 1-1 tie. In the second half, Now Who's Next came out firing again, but Hooters held steady. With seven minutes left, Jamie Rapoza's shot hit off a Hooters defender, changed direction and bounced into the net. With the break they needed, Now Who's Next led 2-1. After one last scoring chance by O'Donnell that went over the net, Now Who's Next This Time captured the championship 2-1 in an exciting and well played game.
