Six walks in the first inning given up by Team Ramrod led to seven Shockers runs. From there, the Shockers cruised to take the co-ed championship 16-6. A grand slam by Jay Paradise capped off the scoring in the 2nd inning for the Shockers. For the game, Paradise finished a triple shy of hitting for the cycle. Team Ramrod got on board in the bottom of the 2nd with an RBI single from Jen Marine. The Shockers didn’t let up in the 3rd as they batted around in the inning for six more runs.

Paradise and Matt Faulkner hit key doubles. Team Ramrod answered somewhat by scoring four runs in their half of the 3rd with sacrifice flies from Jon Zuker and Tom Souza. In the 5th inning, the Shockers scored three more times with a sac fly from Cara Tamburello and an RBI single from Faulkner. Team Ramrod scored one more time in the 5th but this would not be nearly enough. Strong defense from Ryan Nichols and a great play on a pop-up behind the plate by catcher Heather Flynn summed up an overall impressive game by the Shockers.
