In the women’s final, The Terminators and Team Buckettes emerged from a competitive bracket to duel for the coveted championship. The Terminators staked themselves an early 7-0 lead with the help of a hot start from freshman Aira Lei Dungca who dropped the game’s first five points. Dungca would finish with 7 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals & 5 assists. Team Buckettes quickly recovered from their slow start as sophomore sharpshooter Paige Kelley nailed a three-pointer from the top of the arc to make it a four-point game. Kelley would finish the night 3-5 from beyond the arc & do her best to keep Team Buckettes in the game. At the half, The Terminators led 14-13 in what looked to be an exciting second half. However, The Terminators would have none of that, as they went on a ten-point run and did not allow Team Buckettes a single point in the first seven minutes of the half. Senior Arianna Burke led all scorers with 11 points, 10 rebounds & 4 assists to record the double-double as The Terminators cruised through much of the second half en route to a 33-21 victory.
