The grad/fac/staff final matched up Axis II Ballers and Team Ramrod. Each team rightfully earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs and easily disposed of their opponents in the semifinals. Axis II Ballers knocked off Red Dragon 41-28 and Team Ramrod defeated Hosers 48-27. From the beginning of the game, Axis II Ballers controlled the tempo and jumped to a 10-point lead in the first ten minutes. Axis II Ballers clearly favored a fast-paced game. Trampas Tenbroek had a stellar championship, scoring 18 points, hauling down 7 rebounds and getting 3 assists. Mike Stroud also made his presence felt by draining 3 three-pointers on his way to a 17-point game. Team Ramrod did not quit, however, and cut the lead to five with 12 minutes to go in the game, largely behind the play of Adam Cromie who had 17 points and 6 rebounds. Late in the game, Team Ramrod was forced to foul. Axis II Ballers hit their free throws to put the game out of reach with the final score 48-36.
