Championship Game Summary
Squad 34, Sons of Bird 32

The men's basketball final featured Squad versus Sons of Bird. Both teams got off to a slow start and through 15 minutes of play, Sons of Bird led 9-8, with all of their points coming from Royce Henry. Dan McCoy hit a 3-pointer in the waning seconds of the half to give Sons of Bird a 12-11 lead. The teams traded buckets for most of the second half. Then, with 9 minutes to play, a 3-pointer by Henry and a bucket by An Zivyon gave Sons of Bird its biggest lead of the game at 26-19. Squad did not panic and quickly made the lead disappear, thanks to consecutive 3-pointers from Dominique Stewart. With some clutch free throw shooting, Squad took the 31-28 lead with just over a minute to play.

Sons of Bird's Henry hurled up a three and was fouled in the process. Henry made 2 out of 3 from the line, cutting the lead to 1. With Sons of Bird forced to foul, Squad's Tim Day went 3 for 4 from the line in the final minute for the 34-30 lead. A McCoy put-back cut the lead to 34-32 with 7 seconds left, but it was too little, too late as Squad ran out the clock and claimed victory. Sons of Bird's Henry and Squad's Stewart were game high scorers, finishing with 14 and 10 respectively.
