Championship Game Summary
PSE Bombers 58, CK Smooth 56

Last year’s runnerup, PSE Bombers, struggled during league play at 2-2 but managed to get back to the championship by defeating Pounders and Master Blasters in the playoffs. The undefeated grad-fac-staff cream of the crop, CKSmooth, knocked off Snalt and Codpiece II to gain a berth in the final. The final was tight from the tip-off. Bomber Terry Hobbs answered the call early with offense. Mike Hayes of CK Smooth answered right back. This was the flavor of the first half as CK Smooth held a narrow 33-30 lead.

The second half was just as intense as the first half. Both teams traded buckets. With 2 minutes to go in the game, the teams were tied at 52. In the last two minutes, neither team scored to force an overtime. CK Smooth jumped out to a 55-52 overtime lead. The Bombers answered under pressure again to tie the score. With 6 seconds left, Hobbs came through again, this time with the winning basket to give PSE Bombers the stunning 58-56 victory.
