In the first Intramural Women's Final held in the venerable Curry Hicks Cage, the Women of Sport Management withstood a late second half run by Charlie's Angels to claim the 1998 Women's Basketball Intramural Championship. The first half was a defensive struggle. Tiffany Walker had eight points as the half ended with the WOSM holding a 15-10 lead. The second half began with a 13-4 spurt by WOSM that ballooned the lead to 28-14 at the 12:38 mark. Charlie's Angels scored 11 unanswered points and cut the lead to 4 points on Colleen Scully's trey. They would not get any closer. The Women of Sport Management won a hard fought victory 46-36.
