Championship Game Summary
Trailer Park Boys 10, Howell's Redemption 8

In what proved to be three extremely close games, Trailer Park Boyz defeated Howell’s Redemption to win the double-elimination 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
After Howell’s defeated Trailer Park in a very close semifinal match, Trailer Park was knocked into the loser's bracket where they faced and defeated the loser’s bracket champion, Static Shock. Thus, the stage was set - Howell’s Redemption vs. Trailer Park Boyz in the final. But, to take the title, Trailer Park Boyz would need to defeat Howell's twice.

In their second meeting, Howell’s had good passing early to take the lead 4-2. Their lead was short-lived, however, as Trailer Park’s teamwork and passing netted them a 10-6 lead. With just seconds left in the first half, Trailer Park’s Royal Healy banked a buzzer beater from beyond the three-point line to end the half 12-6. In the second half, Howell’s rallied to come back and tie it 14-14. The two evenly-matched teams traded baskets, and with just one minute left, the score was 18-16 with Trailer Park in the lead. With just 30 seconds to go, they scored again to seal the deal 20-16. Despite Howell's last-second efforts to score, the game ended 20-18 Trailer Park, forcing one final showdown for the championship t-shirts.

In their final meeting, Howell’s scored quickly. Both teams played great defense, making it difficult for either team to score. With 2:30 left in the first half the score was still stuck at 2-0. Trailer Park’s Soeb Usta had a couple of steals late in the first half, resulting in two field goals by teammate Nick Hodge, and Trailer Park took a 4-2 lead ionto halftime.

With great passing early in the second half, Trailer Park extended its lead quickly to 6-2. Howell’s was quick to respond as Pete Beaulieu scored a long bucket to make it 6-4. With just 3:30 left in the game, Howell’s scored again, tying it 6-6. Trailer Park’s rebound king, Royal Healy, banked a shot to make it 8-6. Howell’s again utilized great ball-handling and passing to tie it again at 8. Then, with less than a minute in the game, Trailer Park’s Hodge nailed a basket from beyond the three-point line to make it 10-8. With only 9 seconds left, Howell’s had one last chance to tie it up, but captain Brian Howell’s shot was barely off, ending the game with a Trailer Park Boyz victory 10-8.
