Group Fitness Class Descriptions

Classes are limited to 50 participants in rooms 210 & 215, 75 participants in room 118 and 39 participants for Spinning® classes in room 121. Some classes are limited due to available equipment; these numbers are specified in the class description.

Core/Strength Classes

30 Minute Kettlebell Blast

This action-packed, full-body class will leave you feeling sweaty and strong. This class uses compound movements with kettlebells to target multiple muscle groups at a time for a more efficient workout. No experience required.

Total Body Burn

This strength-based class targets your glamour muscles: the booty, the arms and the abs. With fun music and high-energy, you can condition, strengthen and tone some of the biggest muscle groups. All levels of participants are welcome.

TRX® Boot Camp (36)

TRX Suspension Training is the original, best-in-class workout system that leverages gravity and your body weight to perform hundreds of exercises that build power and increase strength, flexibility, balance and mobility. You're in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise - because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance.

Cardio Classes

Cardio Kickboxing
An action-packed workout that combines a series of punching and kicking combinations, this class improves strength, muscle tone and endurance. It's an intense workout for the participant who wants a challenge.

Mind/Body Classes

Asana & Meditation

This contemplative practice combines asana (postures), pranayama (breath-work), meditation, and yoga philosophy. Mild to moderate postures are woven with breathing technique to increase the flow of prana (life-force energy) throughout the body.

Broga® Yoga

Broga is a yoga class geared for men (where it’s okay if you can’t touch your toes). Strong, energetic and challenging, Broga combines the best core-strengthening, muscle-toning, cardio-working, stress-reducing, clarity-enhancing yoga postures with functional fitness exercises for an amazing workout. You’ll get that pumped-up feeling you get from working out and a deep flexibility and relaxation feeling from “working in.” If you’ve already been to a class, we’ll see you again soon. If not, you’ll thank yourself for making the effort to show up. Good music, cool vibe, all are welcome.

Morning Meditation

Start your day off right by reducing stress and improving your mental clarity. This class will help you improve your sense of awareness and deepen your relaxation. Your breath will ground you as you take this hour for yourself.

Mobility Basics

Mobility class will teach you how to use certain tools (i.e. foam roller, lacrosse ball, strength band, voodoo band, etc.) to improve the movement of your body so that you can increase your athletic potential, decrease injury and feel better.

Power Vinyasa Yoga

Power Vinyasa Yoga is a unique sequence of postures aimed at strengthening the mind-body connection. Its hallmark is the emphasis on intuition over tradition. With roots deep in classical yoga and a Baptiste flair, this class will allow you to stretch and strengthen every part of your body and mind. This method encourages vitality, strength and healing as we work with the body as a whole. You don't need any previous experience or knowledge of yoga. Remember, the prize is in the process!

Vinyasa Yoga

This strong and steady class offers softer flow and longer postural holds that will stretch and strengthen your entire body. In vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. Ashtanga, Baptiste Yoga, Jivamukti, Power Yoga, and Prana Flow are all Vinyasa-style yoga classes. 

Spinning®/Indoor Cycling Classes

Rec Spin

Rec Spin is a twist on the traditional Spinning method, turning it into a full body workout. We ride to the beat, crunch our bodies down, and tone our arms with the help of weights on bike. Get ready for the boutique fitness craze that is taking the country by storm. This is indoor cycling at its best. 


Spinning®-brand classes are a great way to get a vigorous workout without the impact of running or jumping. You’ll burn calories and keep your muscles in shape while building your cardiovascular endurance and strength.

Spin & Body

Spin and Body is a 60-minute class broken into two parts. We begin with 30-40 minutes of cardiovascular training on the Spinning bike and then move to some total body conditioning. The boot camp section of the class changes so you might see circuit training, Tabata style, HIIT and more! This is a great full-body conditioning class that works on both cardio vascular and muscular endurance.
