Mike is from Tewksbury, Massachusetts working toward a BS degree in Human Nutrition with a minor in Psychology. As a member of the soccer and track & field teams in high school, Mike developed an appreciation and enthusiasm for health and fitness. Having an influential coach and mentor in high school also played a huge role in shaping his work ethic and interest in wellness. He carried that enthusiasm to UMass by enrolling in the nutrition program as a freshmen. Mike loves going to class and finds it truly gratifying to be able to attend lecture, learn something and then directly apply it to his own life. In addition to his passion for food and nutrition, staying active and in shape is also a top priority. You can usually find him running through Amherst, hanging around the Rec Center, or playing pickup basketball in Southwest. As a nutrition advisor in the Wellness Center, he hopes to answer any questions you might have about health and wellness and help you on your way to reaching your fitness goals.
