Championship Game Summary
Pine Tar 11, Sigma Phi Epsilon A 2

Winding up the men's season was Pine Tar and Sigma Phi Ep 'A'. Pine Tar made the most of their ups at bat and displayed a strong defense that left Sigma Phi Ep struggling. Pine Tar opened the first inning by capitalizing on Sigma Phi Ep's mistakes. John Gronier and Steve Kapusta were walked. Shawn Berryman sacrificed to bring home Gromer. Chris Luistro was walked and Greg Bonzagm got a base due to an error. All four were brought home before Sigma Phi Ep could regroup. Sigma opened their half of the first inning with Ron Burns and Mike Ronci making hits and coming home before Pine Tar could force a close to the inning.

For the rest of the game Sigma was held scoreless. Pine Tar held Sigma to two base hits and a walk in the second, one base hit in the third, a walk and a hit in the fourth, and one base hit in the fifth. Sigma was just unable to catch up to the powerful hitting of Pine Tar. In the third inning Luistro and Scott Mazarian made runs, in the fourth Kapusta came home, and in the fifth Gronier, Bill Benson, Shawn Alarie, and Mike Jacobs all came home to score, ending the game Pine Tar 11, Sigma Phi Ep 'A' 2.
