Commission On Campus Diversity Schedules Second Public Forum For Feb. 3

AMHERST , MASS. – The special Commission on Campus Diversity will hold a second public forum on Thursday, Feb. 3, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Campus Center Auditorium.

The independent commission will hear from a number of groups and individuals. Registration to present at this forum has been completed. The public is invited to attend.

Commission Chair Orlando Taylor previously requested that people sign up by Dec. 3, in order for the commission to maximize its efficiency in scheduling sufficient time. The first public forum on Dec. 9 ran for three hours and could not accommodate everyone who registered. The Feb. 3 forum will feature people who did not get a chance to speak Dec. 9.

The 23-member panel will present a final report, with specific recommendations, to Chancellor John V. Lombardi and the campus community at a public meeting during the spring semester.
