Faculty Senate University Advancement Council
The University Advancement Council, which consists of faculty, librarians, administrators, and students, has worked closely with the vice chancellor for university advancement and professional staff as the campus has prepared for the Campaign for Amherst. The council is kept informed of the progress of all major Development initiatives, and offers candid responses and suggestions. The chair of the council is a voting director of the UMass Amherst Foundation Board, currently sits on the board's Finance and Audit committee, and served on the committee that interviewed prospective campaign consultants. The council will continue to meet with the vice chancellor, development officers, and other key personnel, with a focus on the faculty role in the campaign and in development efforts in general.
