To pay the student bill online, use QuikPAY which is the preferred method of payment.
Mail your check, cashier's check or money order payable to the University of Massachusetts to: UMass Amherst Bursar's Office 215 Whitmore Building 181 Presidents Drive Amherst, MA 01003 Please be sure to put the student name and ID number on the check or money order.
Pay in person at the Teller windows by cash, check, money order or bank check. Debit and credit cards are not accepted at the Teller Window. They are only accepted online in QuikPay. A 2.7% fee will be assessed. Tellers do not cash checks. Students: Bring a photo ID. The Teller is located on the 2nd floor Room 225 of the Whitmore Building and is open from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
How to pay the $500 enrollment fee If you accept your offer of admission, pay the non-refundable $500 enrollment fee online via the QuikPAY system as soon as you make your decision. If you decline our offer of admission, please notify Admissions. Include your name, NetID, date of birth and your intention.
GEO (Graduate Employee Organization) members may enroll online in SPIRE for payroll deduction to pay their Bursar bill. You will receive an email from the Bursar's Office to your official email address that was assigned by OIT (@grad.umass.edu) notifying you of open enrollment for payroll deduction.

Recipients of a 529 plan may see payments from their 529 plan in QuikPAY. If your plan requires a copy of your bill, you can print your invoice in QuikPay account. You are responsible for contacting your 529 plan representative to determine what they require to issue payment to the University. Your 529 plan should mail payment to the University by the due date of the University bill.
If you receive educational financial aid from sources other than those awarded by UMass Amherst Financial Aid Services, you must report them to the UMass Amherst Financial Aid office. See Non-University Awards for more information on how to report the additional aid. Scholarship notifications must be submitted each academic year. Mail your scholarship letter or check from sponsors or outside donors to: Office of the Bursar UMass Amherst
Third Party payments would include payments from State Agencies, International Sponsors and Employers.
Financial Aid In order to be considered for Financial Aid, students must complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA(http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/). This is the only application necessary, and the information it provides will enable UMass Amherst to determine whether you qualify for grants, scholarships, tuition credits, loans or part-time employment to help defray your education expenses. No matter your financial need, you must submit the FAFSA to be considered.
Former students may pay in-person, by mail or online through Commerce Manager. But former students cannot pay through QuikPAY or UPay. It may take up to 48 hours for your payment to be reflected on your bill.
