Residential Life Housing Fees
Students who live on campus are assessed room fees. The OIT residential services fee is charged to all students living in the residence halls.

UMass Dining Services Meal Plans
All undergraduate students living in non-apartment style campus residence halls are required to purchase a meal plan. Freshman and Sophomore students living on campus have the choice of the DC Basic, Unlimited or Unlimited Plus meal plans. Undergraduate Juniors and Seniors living on campus have the added choice of the YCMP Gold or Platinum meal plans.
Entering students who are going to live on campus are assigned and billed for the Unlimited Plan. All other students are assigned and billed for the meal plan they were on in the previous semester. Students can change their meal plans on SPIRE through the end of Add/Drop period.
Undergraduate Juniors and Seniors living on campus have the added choice of the YCMP Gold or Platinum meal plans.
Graduate students, students living in the campus apartments, and students living off-campus may purchase any meal plan.
Changing Your Meal Plan
Use SPIRE to update your UMass Amherst meal plan. Meal plan downgrades and cancellations are allowed until the end of add/drop for each semester.
