Services

The University of Massachusetts is a Land Grant Research University. Part of the broad mission of the University, and the Building Materials and Wood Technology program in particular, is to provide service to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Nation, and its Professional Discipline. Faculty members provide public service and leadership through participation in a wide range of professional committees, governmental agencies, editorial boards, national panels, and advisory boards. The Building Materials and Wood Technology program also performs contract work for professional and industrial clients. Examples of services available on a fee-for-service basis include:
