Facility

The Biomechanics Laboratory is located in Room 23A of the Totman Building on the UMass Amherst campus.

Equipment

The laboratory has the following equipment available:

• Eleven-camera Qualisys Oqus 3-Series optical motion capture system
• Eight-camera Qualisys ProReflex 240 optical motion capture system
• Instrumented (force-measuring) treadmill
• Instrumented (force- and position-measuring) bicycle pedal
• Five AMTI force platforms mounted along a 20-m runway
• Cybex NORM isokinetic dynamometer
• Nine-node Intel Xeon cluster for parallel computing
• Unisen StarTrac treadmill
• Sixteen-channel Delsys wireless EMG systems
• Uniaxial and triaxial accelerometers
• Exeter CompITS impact tester

For data analysis, modeling, and simulation, the following software is available:
