John Hersey, a 2005 graduate with a concentration in Sustainable Urban Planning, approaching the mic.

John spoke about his current pursuit of a Graduate Degree, and how his experience with BDIC has helped.

Justin Gallant, a 2003 graduate with a concentration in Entrepreneurship, spoke of his non-traditional approach to finishing his degree.

Justin, who now owns a successful chain of pizza restaurants in Rhode Island, was persuaded to finish his last few credits when a friend at a party reminded him that all of his other credits would expire within a few months.

Hayley Mermelstein, a 1991 grad with a concentration in Health and Healing: A Cross-Cultural Approach.

Hayley reminded the audience to keep open minds and flexibility after graduating from the BDIC program.

2003 grad, Lyndsay Tetlow talks about her concentration in Exploring the Connection Between Creative and Expository Writing.

Lyndsay educated the audience about the unique aspects of a career in writing.

Ms. Tetlow also spoke of how her concentration has contributed to her interest in photography.

2007 grad Marta MacRostie talked about how BDIC was the perfect way to pursue a concentration in Puppetry.

She made the audience laugh with her stories about her childhood, and how surprised her parents were when she decided to go to college.

1978 graduate Nancy O’Hare spoke fondly of her concentration in Exercise Physiology.

She went on to describe a diverse career path, and encouraged the audience to do what they love, and to follow their interests.
