BDIC 396P - Proposal Writing

The purpose of the course is to aid the incoming BDIC student in the proposal-writing process. Each student enrolled in the course must submit a final proposal by the end of the semester. Once this proposal is accepted by a BDIC supervisor, the student is admitted into the BDIC program. BDIC 396P is a one-credit Pass/Fail course. Pre-req for taking 396P is at least 30 credits, a 2.0 GPA, and an approved application.

BDIC 496C - Junior Year Writing in Interdisciplinary Studies

This course introduces student s to writing conventions in various professional fields. Because of the diversity of majors in interdisciplinary studies, students investigate various avenues of professional writing. In addition to completing genre analysis of professional documents, stu dents complete a major writing project related to their field of study. Students are encouraged to NOT write a traditional academic paper, rather practice one of the many forms of writing relevant to their field of study. BDIC 496c fulfills the University 's Junior Year Writing Requirement.
