Kristen Dye

Kristen Dye is a junior Music Education and Performance Major with a concentration in Flute. She doesn't have to tell you that music is her
life, so she won't! The sisterhood has been a great opportunity for her to give back to the musical and band communities, which is definitely something she enjoys. Her favorite memory would probably include any of the travelling she has done with the Delta Deltas-they may seem disastrous at the time but elicit laughs later on. Her other fabulous hobbies include webcomics, kung fu and beach visiting.

Stephanie Chueng

My name is Stephanie Chueng, however people call me Ching Ching. There's a story behind that, and if you're curious just ask!
A little background information. I am from Brattleboro, Vermont ,which is about 45 minutes north of Amherst. So, coming to school here wasn't a huge change for me. I am from a 100% chinese family so I do speak Mandarin Chinese and often have funny asian food in my room.

I am currently a sophomore at Umass. I am double majoring in Chinese Language and Literature and Hospitality Tourism Management. I will probably be staying an extra year to fit all my classes. However, I believe it's worth it. I play the flute in both marching and concert band. "the view is better from the back" I have been playing the flute since 4th grade and still enjoy ever bit of it. Granted, it doesn't mean that I'm really good at it.

I am part of the Beta Phi Class of Fall 2005. I was the president of my MC class. My first semester as an active sister I was the reception chair, which means I organized and ran all receptions we held for University Bands and various Jazz bands for that semester. Currently, I am the joint treasurer of the joint chapter. This position has been a great learning experience. Deciding to be apart of this organization was probably the best thing I did my freshman year. I am absolutely in LOVE with the sisterhood and what we do. I am proud to say that I am a Sister of the chapter Delta Delta-Tau Beta Sigma

My favorite memory thus far from the sisterhood is when I twisted my ankle one rainy day this fall and I called the first person in my phone who happened to be a sister and they came and rescued me right away. But, then we had an activity later on and when I went in all gimpified, everyone was so caring and cracking jokes about being gimpy already. Even in my worst conditions, my sisters will always bring me up.

Danni Marone

Danielle Marone, known to her sisters as Danni, is a sophomore at UMass in the Hospitality and Tourism Management Major (w00t!).She MC'd as a freshman and was brought into the bond in the Fall of 2005 with the Beta Phi class. Since her installation into our Chapter she has served as the Ritual Co-Chair, Color in the Cage Chair, Assistant Vice President of Membership, and she currently serves as the Recording Secretary.

Music and Performing have always played a large role in Danni's life. She has been dancing for over a decade and participates in the UMMB Color Guard and Winter Guard, known at UMass as Cage. Danni has also been playing the clarinet since elementary school, and participated in the University's Concert Band in the Spring of 2006. In the Concert Band this spring she is attempting to play the tenor sax. As if she doesn't do enough already she has also previously participated in the University's Woman's Choir.

In the future, Danni hopes to grow as a sister and a person by becoming more involved and holding other offices. She loves her Delta Delta Sisters <3

Allison Norton

Hi! I’m Allison.  I’m from Salem MA, and I’m a Junior sociology major. I was in the 69th MC class to go through the Delta Delta Chapter back in the fall of
2005.   I’m currently the Vice President of  membership, and  I’ve also held
the office of Assistance vice president of membership.    I’ve played the flute
for 12 years, and I’ve marched in winter guard for 7 so those are my primary
instruments I guess.  Some of my favorite memories with my sisters are from when we have traveled to district convention and precinct meetings.  My
favorite holiday is cinco de mayo, I love my big sister Meg Burke!!

Caity Bogdan

Caity Bogdan is a sophomore engineering student in the Mechanical Engineering Major. After playing flute for nearly 9 years, she has decided to switch to mellophone for marching season, although she still plays flute for concert band. A veteran of many high school ensembles, she is excited to further her passion for music through Tau Beta Sigma. This year she is serving the Sisterhood as Website and Ritual Chair, as well as her other committees. Caity is also a proud member of Beta Psi. On a more personal note, Caity is from Neptune, New Jersey and adores beach volleyball and softball. She also loves the summer because it means flip-flop season!

Annie Curro

Annie Curro enjoys long walks on the beach, lying out on the grass on a sunny day, and spending a lot of time in dark theaters in which there is very rarely a beach or sunny patch of grass. She will be graduating in 2009, and came into the Bond in fall 2006 with the Beta Psi MC class.  Aside from spending time with her absolutely wonderful Delta Delta sisters, she studies scenic design, and film studies, works at the Fine Arts Center as a technical assistant, works in the theater department scene shop as a scenic artist, color-codes her day planner (TBS stuff is sparkly blue!), and plays trombone in the marching and HOOP bands.  She recreationally plays euphonium in concert band.  Someday, she wants to be either a scenic artist, scenic designer, or an astronaut.

Kristen Roth

Kristen is a sophomore at UMass, becoming a sister of the Delta Delta chapter of Tau Beta Sigma in Fall of 2006 with the Beta Psi class (yeah!).  She comes from a small town in southeastern MA called Lakeville, though most have not heard of it.  Kristen plays piccolo in the marching band, and alto sax in the HOOP band (eyoo).  She has played flute in concert band, and is going to be trying something new called the flag in Color in the Cage.  Kristen also sings in Vocal Jazz Ensemble and her wicked awesome a cappella group Wicked Pitch!  By the way, her major is Music Education with a concentration in voice and a minor in Psychology, and she will not be graduating in four years.

Kristen first heard of and met the sisters during marching band camp her freshman year, and soon became interested in MCing.  Some things that she will take with her from this group are wonderful friendships and traveling experiences, a giving heart, especially in service, and plenty of smiles.  :>)

Jen Iaconetti

Becoming a sister has changed my college career for the better. As an accounting major, being involved in the music community provides relief from the business world that I encounter in the classroom. Last semester I served the sisterhood as receptions chair, and for the upcoming year I will fill the role of Treasurer. I hope to use my business savvy to further our chapter’s finances and to be creative with new fundraising opportunities. I am a proud member of the flute section in the marching band, and have been playing that and other instruments for over 12 years. My bond is strong with all of my sisters, and they help me to feel “at home” when I am 250 miles away from my real home in Jefferson Township, New Jersey. As Beta Omega, a class of one from the Spring 2007 semester, I hope to see the sisterhood grow and bond even more than we have since I was initiated.
