Band Camp 2013 is just around the corner! Here are the dates you need to know:

Tuesday, August 20th: Ad Staff arrival, 10 am.
Thursday, August 22nd: Field Staff arrival, 4 pm - 5 pm
Friday, August 23rd: Percussionists, new color guard members arrive, 10:30 am.
Saturday, August 24th: Returning color guard, twirlers, and new wind players arrive, 12 pm.
Sunday, August 25th: Returning wind players arrive, 5 pm.
Friday, August 30th: End of Band Camp performance, 4:40 pm.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the Band Day Reception scheduled for Wednesday, June 5th has been postponed. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will post updated information once a new date has been selected.

Band Day 2013 will be held on Saturday, October 12th at Gillette Stadium. If you have not received an invitation letter or registration form there is one available to download and print on the Band Day page (http://www.umass.edu/band/bandday).

The 29th Annual UMass Band Day will be held on October 12, 2013 at Gillette Stadium. Please note, this is a change from the previously announced date of November 2nd. A registration form and additional information can be found on the Band Day page (https://www.umass.edu/band/bandday). Registration forms will be accepted from now until Friday, October 4th. This year, students at Band Day will be performing music from Willy Wonka! We hope you will join us for the 29th annual event. Hey UMMB! The I-Bander is up! For all you rookies and veterans, please fill it out as soon as possible! It's going to be a great year and the UMMB is going to the Macy's Day Parade!

New for 2013 is the George N. Parks calendar. Assembled by former UMMB drum majors Linda Hannum (1980 - 1982, and a member of the UMMB Hall of Fame) and Jeff Poulton (1982 - 1987), this special calendar features a different picture of Prof. Parks for each month, along with his famed "Starred Thoughts." The calendar is priced at $15, with proceeds from each sale going to the George N. Parks Memorial Drum Major Scholarship, to be awarded to a drum major of the Minuteman Marching Band.

Band Banquet, Sunday, Dec. 2nd. The annual Marching Band Banquet is Sunday, Dec. 2nd, beginning at 4:40 in the Campus Center Auditorium. Tickets must be bought in advance from Shannon Vogler (svogler@student.umass.edu) or Michael Bates (mbates@student.umass.edu). Don't miss out on the end of year celebration!

Merry Maple on Friday, Nov. 30th! The final performance of the 2012 Minuteman Marching Band is Friday, Nov. 30th, as part of the Town of Amherst's annual Merry Maple celebration. The band will march from Haigis Mall to the Amherst Commons, beginning at 4:40. Once there, the band will perform Holiday favorites, from 5 - 6. Help the UMMB ring in the Holidays

The University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band is excited to announce the 2012 field show! Musical selections will include:

       On November 28, 2013, it might be the year to get up early again and watch the dozens of balloon floats and marching bands go through New York City. Why, you ask? Under the direction of Director, Timothy Todd Anderson and Associate Director, Thomas P. Hannum, the University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band will be traveling to New York City to march in the Macy’s Parade among one of the several marching bands. On April 3rd, 2012 Wesley Whatley, Creative Director of the parade, came to the George N.
