University of Massachusetts' Minuteman Marching Band Trombones

TROMBONES

Welcome to the homepage of the UMass Trombone Section. Last year in the 2005 season, we had about 21 members and we're expecting a lot more to come back and join for the heavily awaited 2006 season. We may not be the largest section in the band but we certainly make our presence known and have a good time both on and off the field. We pride ourselves on being one of the loudest, strongest sections of the UMMB and we definitely have a lot of fun with our shows and trips. As a member of the Trombone section you are automatically given a great group of friends because we are very welcoming and behave more like a family than a musical group. We are definitely serious about the music we play music and our many performances throughout the season but we are also serious about having a great time while experiencing college life. We are however known for being a *little* crazy but we certainly make the band experience a worth while one. You don't have to be a music major or have a lot of marching band experience to fit right in or join because we have members from all academic areas of the university.
