For the 2003 season, the Tenor Saxophone Line is well represented on the field by twenty-one enthusiastic members. As our numbers have risen and fallen over the past few years, the unique personality of the section has also been formed. Everyone who is currently a member of the section contributes a little bit of their own personality to the group, adding to the wonderful experience of marching band.

On the practice field, we are known for our black bandannas, which were adopted from a former section leader, Andy Steely. Originally the bandannas were red, though due to uniform changes, they were changed to marron and then black; the tradition is still well represented at each game.

Though we don't have a long history, a memorable one has been carved. In 1998, the section was comprised of thriteen members. As we skipped around the field with Tony and Maria, while acting "Crazy and Cool", we were still "praying" for more members in the section.

Well, our prayers were answered in the 1999 season as our numbers soared to seventeen. As ZORR "D" was spelled out on the field and everyone learned "Heat of the Day" on a cold rainy night, we realized that is IS the size of your saxomophone that matters and how you use it!

In 2000, not only were our saxomophones bigger, but our numbers increased yet again, this time to twenty-one members. With the introduction of our new red bandannas, we made sure they were "Smooth" for every performance. "Big Steps and Little Steps" will echo in our heads forever when we hear Malaguena. "Tenors.....Rule!!" soon symbolized the close knit group of friends that we had become.

In the 2001 season, we survived one hot week of "Tommy's Holiday Camp", emerging with a grand twenty-five members. Soon we were presented with our new maroon bandannas to match the new look of the UMMB. The spunk and high power rock opera mirrores the unique personality that the tenor sax line had acquired. During the "Finale", all those in the stands watched the tenors "move up, down, and move it all around", as we all proudly...."Dance."

For the 2002 season our numbers fell to seventeen as we "Blistered in the Sun", struggling to learn the fast and furious "Gladiator". "Where are we going?", once we learned that it was "The Colliseum", we were all set. "Like a Prayer" we were able to "Express Ourselves" with our new show at Allentown. The seniors all saw "Stars and Stripes" as they found out that "There You'll Be", and they along with all of our other alumni will truly be with us always. "Bang-a-rang Saxophones!!"
