UMMB Mellophones

The mellophone section of the UMass Marching Band is clearly where it's at!

We have a great group of people and we are definitely are the life of the band. Our section can range from about 15-20 people from all different years and majors. You don't have to be a music major to hang with the cool kids! We are very friendly, very loud and we are a very close section. One reason it's so much fun to be a mellophone is because of the friendships that we share, both on and off the field. On the field we get things done with a great sense of humor, while off the field we enjoy each others company at social events, on Facebook, and through many "reply-all" emails.

It all comes down to the mello's having a great sense of combined humor, great relationships with each other, and of course, superior musical talent!

Mellophones won the award for Most-Improved Section 2005!
