On Saturday, October 12th, the University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band will be hosting the 29th annual Band Day at Gilette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Schools from across the Northeast will come to play with the University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band for a unique musical experience unlike any other. This year's band day will include 69 schools featuring 3600 bandos on the field! It is a wonderful experience for all, and high school students can experience what it is like to be a part of a collegiate marching band. This year’s Band Day theme is “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” The football game kicks off at 3:00 p.m. against the Miami University Redhawks, with thousands of high school band members taking the field with the UMMB at halftime.
This is the 2nd year that Band Day will be held at Gillette Stadium. Previous Band Day themes include Elton John (2009) Patriotic Medley (2010), Shrek (2011), and The Lion King (2012). Make sure to stick around from the first note of pregame to the last note of post-game for the full Power and Class Experience!
