Yuki Yoshimura received her Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition from Carnegie Mellon University. Her research interests include second language sentence processing, speech fluency, task effectiveness, Japanese pedagogy, and children’s first-language acquisition. Teaching responsibilities include Japanese Language (1st year to graduate level), Japanese Linguistics, and Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language. Some recent articles with B. MacWhinney include “The use of pronominal case in English sentence interpretation” (2010), and “Honorifics as a socio-cultural verb agreement cue in Japanese” (2010).
