A Three-Generational Approach to Synergy and Mentoring
for Honors, Masters, and Ph.D. Candidates

SCHEDULE and DEADLINES

The call for papers will go out by the end of January, together with a deadline for submission of paper proposals (March 15, 2006) and other specifications (length of paper, time of presentation). The organizers will read the paper proposals and, under the direction of faculty advisors, form panels for presenters. The organizers will then print the conference schedule and inform the presenters and discussants of their slots by the end of April. The Conference will take place on SATURDAY MAY 6, 2006.

March 15, 2006
All who wish to present papers are invited to submit their proposals in the form of 250-word abstracts, with presenter’s name, institutional affiliation and paper title, by this date. We also ask senior honors students and candidates for the M.A. and Ph.D. to indicate the title of the thesis from which the paper will -- ideally -- be drawn.

We have extended the deadline for paper proposals with two more weeks. All those who want to present to our conference, but did not manage to have their paper proposals ready by March 15 2006, now have the possibility to apply by this new deadline. We are looking forward to receiving your applications.

Presenters are requested to submit their papers (maximum of 6 pages, Times New Roman, 12 point, double spaced; does not include notes) by this date.

Final conference schedule announced and posted on ISGC website.

May 6 , 2006
Intergenerational Graduate Student Conference on Diversity in East Asia takes place at UMass Amherst.
