A Conversation with Fred Wilson
Join the UMCA and the Department of the History of Art and Architecture for a morning conversation with acclaimed contemporary artist Fred Wilson. With Wilson’s “Flag Paintings” on view at the UMCA in “Five Takes on African Art/42 Flags” art and art history students are invited to a dialogue with the artist about his art, curatorial practice, and the state of the art world today. This conversation follows Wilson’s public lecture, “The Silent Message of the Museum, and Other New Works,” Wednesday, Oct. 11, 5:30–7:00 p.m. in the Integrated Learning Center, Room 151.
