FOOD POLICY AGREEMENT
Since its inception, the DEPARTMENT OF ART, ARCHITECTURE AND ART HISTORY has taken great pride in the quality of food served during its Summer Program in La Napoule, France. Emphasis has always been on well-balanced nutritious meals, incorporating fresh local produce prepared in the traditional French manner. The program and chateau directors make every effort to provide cuisine appropriate to the taste of the majority and also to vegetarians. This summer, the program is most fortunate to have engaged the services of Monsieur Giry, who has for years had the reputation of being the finest and most sought after caterer on the French Riviera. His French Cuisine has been featured at the Cannes Film Festival and most recently at a reception at the Chateau de La Napoule for Prince Edward of Windsor, a member of the British Royal Family. The program continues to strive to provide interesting and nutritious meals, but is unable to accommodate dietary alternatives, which require special purchases or preparation. The individual student, at their own expense, must address individual food preferences or restrictions.
While in residence in La Napoule, mid-day meals on Saturday and Sunday are not provided, nor are dinners on Saturday evening.
I have read and agree to abide by the aforementioned food policy for the University of Massachusetts 2007 European Summer Art Program, La Napoule, France.
