The graduate program in Design offers an interdisciplinary
program that introduces students to aesthetic, intellectual, historic
and social aspects of architecture. Its goal is to provide
students with studio and classroom environments that will enable
them to develop both their individual design processes as well
as the research and technical skills necessary in the professional
design world at large.
Students receive individual attention both in the studios and
in the lecture courses offered by the program. The faculty strive
to afford them ample opportunity to present their ideas to their
peers, faculty and design professionals and engage in advanced
issues of design, independent research and interdisciplinary study.
New: Master of Science in Design and Historic Preservation
