WMAIA Scholarship

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Western Massachusetts Chapter of the AIA (WMAIA), announce a joint scholarship providing $1,000 for a University of Massachusetts student currently enrolled as a junior or senior in the undergraduate BFA Design program, or as a graduate student in the M. Arch program.

The scholarship will be presented at WMAIA's annual meeting in December 2009.

The judging criteria are design excellence, community and university engagement and evaluation of the written statement.

To apply please submit the following:
A cover sheet with your name, address, email address and school information (program/year).
Please list all community and student affiliations.
An 11" x 17" presentation of your best project along with a written statement (not to exceed one page) that explains your design intent and approach to
the project beyond the basic program requirements.

Deadline: Applications should be submitted no later
than Friday, October 30 at noon to:
