On October 5 (World Architecture Day 2020), Associate Professor Ajla Aksamija will participate in Taking Action: A Conversation on Climate Action and Architecture in Canada, a virtual panel organized by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC). Taking Action is the first of a series of events leading into the inaugural RAIC Congress on Architecture which will be held in October of 2021.
The event brings together four presenters and introduces the core 2021 Congress on Architecture topics. Aksamija is the only speaker from the United States, and she joins other speakers including architects and a Nobel Peace Prize winner for his work on climate change. The panel will be moderated by a renowned environmental journalist, whose work has appeared in National Geographic and other prominent media. Ajla's presentation will focus on future solutions for addressing climate change in the built environment.
The event will take place October 5, 2020 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM EDT.
