Aksamija Presents on Healthcare and Building Science

Assoc. Professor Ajla Aksamija presented "Designing for Well-Being: Building Science and Innovation in Healthcare Design" and participated in a panel discussion at the Design for Living 2019 Design Research Symposium at Drexel University in Philadelphia on October 11th. The symposium examined health, urban living, and design, and offered interdisciplinary perspectives on these important topics. Ajla's presentation focused on innovations in healthcare design, and how to integrate research and building science into architectural design of healthcare facilities.
Ajla also presented "Innovations in Architecture: Role of Digital Technologies and Research in Contemporary Practice" at the "DR_SOM Digital Practice: Emerging Possibilities in a Shifting Architectural Profession" at the Technical University of Graz, Austria on October 25th. She addressed computational design, innovation and research in the architectural profession, and included case studies from her research and practice.
