Professor Kathleen R. Lugosch, AIA, M.Arch. is a licensed
architect and the principal of Kathleen Lugosch Architect, an award
winning
architecture and design firm based in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Lugosch has completed numerous projects, both public and private,
new
construction & renovation. She has extensive experience working
with
communities and individual clients bringing together concerns of
environment, social issues and design integrity.
Recent professional work has focused on issues of the home ranging
from
customs residential design to affordable housing. As a professional
and as
university faculty, Lugosch focuses on the flow and connection
of interior
and exterior space and form, the use and detailing of materials,
the
integration of natural and artificial light.
Lugosch graduated from Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1983,
with a
Master of Architecture.
Courses:
Graduate and Undergraduate A+D Studios examining the connections
among
process, program, technology and art in architecture and interior design.
