Emerging Technologies in Architectural Design and Innovation: Lessons from Practice

On Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 5:30pm Dr. Ajla Aksamija, Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst will speak on Emerging Technologies in Architectural Design and Innovation: Lessons from Practice. The lecture will be held in Thompson 102 on the University of Massachusetts Campus.

Ajla Aksamija is an Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  She received her PhD in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with an emphasis on technology and environment.  She has taught architectural design studios and seminars at the University of Cincinnati, and advanced environmental building design at the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Aksamija directed Perkins+Will Technology Laboratory ("Tech Lab"), one of the first practice-driven research laboratories focusing on advanced building technologies, high-performance buildings, computational design, and building facades.
