The ASR specifically discourages the submission of unsolicited film reviews. They will NOT be published.

The Film Review Editor aims to attract contributions from individuals well qualified by research interest and publications to review films in their specific areas of expertise. In exchange for writing a publishable film review, the author of the film review gets to keep the film. No other remuneration is provided.

We respect the right of film reviewers to give their own assessment of a film and we will not edit their opinions and judgments. At the same time, we may need to edit for length, spelling, and expression, and will confer with our reviewers on such matters whenever we propose changes.
