UMass Archaeological Services

Archaeological Services at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is an archaeological consulting service, specializing in all phases of cultural resource management projects. Our specialties include archaeological and historical background research and field testing, site examination, and data recovery for historic and prehistoric sites. During the last two decades, Archaeological Services has completed more than 300 research projects throughout Massachusetts, the other New England states, and in New York. Archaeological Services is completely contract-funded. The staff of Archaeological Servics has extensive experience in cultural resource management and archaeology, specializing in the investigation of historic, prehistoric and industrial sites.
