Captain Christopher Carlisle


Captain Christopher Carlisle serves as the Recruiting Flight Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 370 and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is responsible for the construction, management, and execution of all recruiting efforts.

Captain Carlisle enlisted in October 2001 and served 13 years as a security forces member. His first duty station was Malmstrom AFB, MT where he served as a Response Force Leader, Flight Security Controller, and Security Forces instructor. In 2007, he reported to Creech AFB where he served as the Non- Commissioned Officer in Charge Combat Arms for Security Forces. In July 2014, he commissioned from Officer Training School Maxwell AFB. After commissioning, captain Carlisle completed technical training for the Defense Satellite Communications System, 3d Space Operations Squadron, Schriever AFB, Colorado and became a Satellite Vehicle Operator responsible for planning satellite maneuvers. Captain Carlisle finished his assignment as a Mission Commander and instructor responsible for four satellite communication constellations valued at $45 Billion supporting 241k warfighters across 9 Combatant Commands.
