Brief Bio
Kym Morrison's areas of research and/or expertise include Social and Cultural Histories of Latin America, The Caribbean, African Diaspora, and Cuba, especially in the 18th and 19th Centuries; Family History and Race Relations. She recently published the article "Creating an Alternative Kinship: Slavery, Freedom, and Nineteenth-Century Afro-Cuban Hijos Naturales ," in the Journal of Social History 41.1 (2007) 55-80.
