Learning Partnerships
Learning Partnerships is online help for arts and education collaborations.
There are four main sections plus resources. You may move through them sequentially or skip right to the section you need most. All are designed to encourage sound collaborations between community arts organizations and schools to integrate arts into education.
Learning Partnership Workshop – This is an online version of the workshop and published Arts Education Partnership guide. This will introduce you to the benefits and results of arts education partnerships and provide links to some of the nation’s strong partnerships.
Learning Partnerships: Planning Workbook – This workbook poses questions that will guide the planning of any partnership initiative. You can print the workbook to provide an agenda for partnership planning meetings. After your meetings you may type in answers to the questions online. By clicking the "submit" button at the end of the workbook, you generate a finished plan with goals, objectives, tasks and notes. The Workbook is formatted as a PDF file, which can be accessed through the Acrobat Reader program. You will be prompted to download the free reader if needed.
Learning Partnerships Evaluation Workbook Part 1 – This companion workbook automatically copies the goals and objectives you enter in the Planning Workbook and prompts you with questions to develop an evaluation plan. An opening section explains outcome-based program evaluation and gives examples of measurable objectives. You will find advice for how to evaluate intangible objectives by looking for indirect evidence. When you finish answering workbook questions, you click a "submit" button to print your evaluation plan.
Learning Partnerships Evaluation Workbook Part 2 – This section instructs how to implement your evaluation. As evaluations are so variable, this section is not interactive. You will learn to collect and analyze evaluation data to determine if your collaborative program achieved its intended outcomes.
