Purchasing & Logistics

The Auxiliary Enterprises Purchasing Department is an integral part of one of the largest Auxiliary departments on a college or university campus. We are responsible for procuring all goods and services used in the many business units within our department. We work hand in hand with the central procurement office on campus to ensure all goods and services are procured following the rules and regulations of both the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the UMass Amherst Campus.

The Warehouse/Distribution Center is a 10,000 square foot facility that stores and distributes goods on a daily basis across campus. Our distribution team is responsible for the daily delivery of UMass Bakery goods along with retail commissary grab and go items. We are also a key part to set up and break down of many of the dining outdoor events that take place throughout the year.
