Hello, Senator Commongood:

My name is Stephanie Greenbriar. I'm a constituent living in Franklin. I am calling in support of fully funding the University of Massachusetts and Commonwealth College. I am an alumna of the Amherst campus, and my daughter attends Commonwealth College, majoring in electrical engineering.

I own my own company which employs 20 people in town, and I give to the university through the Parents Fund. I credit my success to my UMass education, and I support the university both as a parent and private donor.

I hope that the legislature will support steady stable funding for the university. I understand the legislature has to make difficult choices in managing the budget in this serious economic downturn. It's vitally important to make the university a funding priority, as it is an economic engine for the Commonwealth. [Listen to response and reply.]

I hope we can overcome the funding gap, and keep making progress toward steady, stable, secure funding.
