Student-Run Businesses

There is yet another way for UMass Amherst Students to get some career-building experience. Each semester, about 150 students work for student-run, non-profit businesses. These provide vital services to the campus community (from quick munchies to bike repair), while giving students a chance to enhance their classroom learning with a taste of real-world work. Students get help in these endeavors from the Center for Student Business (CSB). The CSB (which is also run by students, as well as professional staff) provides services, consultation, and support to student business, and keeps the system running smoothly.

You can find links to student businesses on the Registered Student Organizations website.
