Accepted Students

Congratulations!
This is where the real fun begins. We can’t wait to meet you and welcome you to UMass Amherst. Now that you've been accepted, you probably have a lot of questions about classes, residence halls, the food, and weekend happenings. Be sure to attend one of our Spring Open House events for admitted students. Staff, faculty and students will be there to answer your questions, provide you with more information, and show you around.

Once you decide on UMass Amherst, return your completed enrollment form and enrollment fee (see below for deadlines). Visit the New Students Orientation website for the scoop on campus life and to find out more about orientation.

You will also receive your NetID and password via e-mail which will give you access to our student information system, known as SPIRE.

Important Deadlines

May 1: Enrollment Form and $400 enrollment fee due for first-year students

June 1: Enrollment Form and $400 enrollment fee due for transfer, Stockbridge, and postgraduate students

And if you haven’t taken care of these already…

Feb 15: File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

March 1: Financial Aid Priority Deadline. We recommend that you complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (see above) as soon as possible after Jan. 1, but before February 15 in order to meet the March 1 deadline
